Best Time to Visit Uganda

The best time to visit Uganda is generally during the drier months, especially from June to August and from December to February, when trekking and wildlife viewing are usually more comfortable and roads are often easier to manage. Because rainfall patterns vary across the country, these drier periods tend to work especially well for a broader trip that combines gorilla trekking, safari, and city or lake time. Southern Uganda has two rainy seasons, while the north has a more distinct wet season followed by a dry season, so the mid-year and year-end dry windows are usually the most reliable overall.
