Emily Bay is the most swimmable beach on Norfolk Island, with calm, clear water protected by a natural reef. The sand is soft, the water is usually flat, and it’s perfect for snorkeling or just floating without a care. Families love it, but it never feels packed. There are change rooms, shaded spots, and grass to spread out on. You don’t need to plan much here—just turn up, swim, and enjoy how easy everything feels.

From Burnt Pine, drive south through Kingston, following signs to the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area. Emily Bay is part of this heritage zone and is clearly marked. There’s a car park right by the beach, and the walk to the water is flat and easy. No transport is needed once you arrive.
