Bumboras Bay, known locally as Bumboras or “Bumby,” is a small, tucked-away spot where you can swim, snorkel, or sit under the trees with no one around. It’s not a long beach, but the water is often clear, the waves are gentle, and the reef just offshore makes it great for spotting fish. Locals come here to cool off, not to be seen. It’s relaxed, easy to get to, and feels like a little secret even though it’s close to town.

Summer is best for swimming, snorkeling, and calm ocean conditions that make this small beach easy to enjoy.

Getting There
From Burnt Pine, drive south for about 10 minutes, then turn onto Bumboras Road. It’s signposted but easy to miss, so drive slowly once you're close. The road ends in a small gravel car park with beach access via a short walking track. There are no facilities, so bring what you need and pack out your rubbish.
