About Kazinga Channel
Kazinga Channel is one of the highlights of Queen Elizabeth National Park if you want wildlife viewing that feels easy, scenic, and consistently rewarding. Stretching between Lake Edward and Lake George, it is best known for boat trips where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and a wide range of birdlife along the water’s edge. It is a good choice if you want to add something relaxed but still memorable to your time in the park.
When to visit
June to August is the clearest overall window, while December to February is another strong period for drier weather and rewarding wildlife cruises.

Getting There
From Mweya Peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park, head to the Kazinga Channel boat launch area, which is the usual starting point for cruises along the channel. If you are coming from Kasese town, drive into the park toward Mweya, then continue to the jetty for the final stretch.
