About Sepik River
The Sepik River is Papua New Guinea's longest river, winding its way for more than 1100kms through mountainous terrain, tropical rainforests and dense swamplands. The river is home to the New Guinea Crocodile and a flourishing array of bird life, with traditional stilt villages along its shores. A trip down the never-ending river bends can make you feel like you've travelled back in time, to an ancient world far removed from modern day comforts.

The best way to reach the Sepik is by road from Wewak, however you will need to arrange your own transportation or take a guided tour to reach the river.
