Ishasha Wilderness Camp puts you in one of the quietest parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where the setting feels more remote and more connected to the wild. Positioned along the Ntungwe River in the park’s southern Ishasha sector, it gives you easy access to the area’s tree-climbing lions while still feeling calm and tucked away from busier safari circuits. It’s a strong choice if you want something that feels intimate, scenic, and closely tied to the landscape around it.
When to visit
June to August is the clearest safari window, while December to February is another strong period for drier game drives in the south of the park.

Getting There
From Kasese town, drive south through Queen Elizabeth National Park toward the Ishasha sector in the park’s southern reaches. If you are coming from Bwindi, Ishasha sits on the main route to and from Buhoma, making it an easy stop between gorilla trekking and safari time. Charter flights can also be arranged to Ishasha Airstrip.
