About Al Nufud Al Kabir

Al Nufud Al Kabir is home to the largest sand dunes in Saudi Arabia, with some towering up to 1,000m in height. Herds of wild camel roam the golden sands today, however archeologists have discovered fossils of giant prehistoric elephant and birds of prey in the Great Nufud desert, dating back more than 7,000 years.
