Summer spans Dec. to Feb. and brings hot days, bright skies, and a vivid green-season feel between the main rain periods. Winter in Tarangire runs from Jun. to Aug. and is one of the best times to visit, with very little rain, cooler nights, and excellent wildlife viewing. Getting There

Tarangire National Park is located in northern Tanzania, southwest of Arusha, and is usually reached by road from Arusha or by flying into Kilimanjaro International Airport before continuing overland.
