When to visit
The dry season from Jun. to Sep. is the easiest and most comfortable period, with cooler weather, clearer skies, and lower rainfall across the Huíla highlands.

Getting There
From Lubango, the usual route is south by road through Huíla toward Cunene Province, then onward to the Humbe area near Xangongo and Ombadja. If you are starting from Ondjiva, the drive is shorter, with the final stretch taking you through southern Angola’s drier pastoral landscape.
