Caminito del Rey

About Caminito del Rey

Once considered the most dangerous road in the world, the 8km walkway of Caminito del Rey is pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Malaga in southern Spain. The entire path has been carefully restored and, today, is far less dangerous, although one thing hasn't changed - the unique experience of strolling along the walkway hanging precariously 100 metres up a sheer cliff face. From beginning to end, the views are spectacular, winding through cliffs, canyons and a large valley. If luck is on your side, you may even spot Iberian ibex, wild boar, Egyptian vultures and golden eagles.
