About Hobbiton
The Hobbiton movie set was permanently constructed on rolling farmland, a two-hour scenic drive south of Auckland. Hobbiton was used for shooting The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film series and today, tourists are granted access to the movie set via guided tours.
