The Ginger Factory by Buderim Ginger

About The Ginger Factory by Buderim Ginger

The Ginger Factory in Yandina is part tasting room, part family attraction, and part behind-the-scenes look at one of Australia’s biggest ginger producers. It’s easygoing and fun without feeling overly commercial. You can take a factory tour, ride the little train, try ginger-based treats, and stroll through the gardens. Whether you’re there with kids or just curious about how things are made, it’s a low-pressure stop that mixes food, learning, and a bit of fun.

When to visit

Autumn is a great time to visit. The weather is mild, the gardens look fresh, and the outdoor areas are more comfortable without summer heat.

Most popular: April - May

Spring · Sep, Oct, Nov

Spring brings warm, bright days and blooming gardens across the property. It’s a good time to explore the open-air areas like the Rainforest Walk and bee tours. The café and ice cream shop start to fill up again, and the weather is ideal for taking your time around the grounds.

Summer · Dec, Jan, Feb

Summer is the busiest time, especially during school holidays. The factory offers a cool break from the heat, and the indoor exhibits are a smart option in the midday sun. It’s a fun season for families, but it’s worth arriving early if you want to avoid the afternoon rush.

Autumn · Mar, Apr, May

Autumn is when the pace slows down a little. The days are warm without being hot, and the gardens still look sharp. It’s a nice time to do the factory and bee tours without the peak season crowds. You can sit outside with a coffee, taste some ginger treats, and take in the space.

Winter · Jun, Jul, Aug

Winter is mild on the Sunshine Coast, so everything stays open and active. It’s a quieter season for the park, which makes it a good time for relaxed visits and small-group tours. The café feels cozy, and the weather is still comfortable enough for outdoor areas and playground time.
