Yeppoon Lagoon

About Yeppoon Lagoon

Yeppoon Lagoon is a large, free beachfront swimming area located along Yeppoon’s foreshore. The main feature is the infinity-edge pool with stunning views over Keppel Bay and the islands beyond. The lagoon includes a shallow wading area for kids, shaded lounging spots, and landscaped gardens. It’s a popular place to relax, swim, or cool down after walking the esplanade. Lifeguards are on duty, and cafés and picnic areas are nearby. The combination of views, water, and open space makes it a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike.

When to visit

The cooler, dry months are ideal for enjoying the lagoon and foreshore without the heat and humidity of summer.

Summer · Dec, Jan, Feb

Summer is hot and humid, but the lagoon remains a very popular place to cool off. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times to visit to avoid the strongest sun. There’s plenty of space to relax and the nearby cafés make it easy to spend a full day by the water.

Autumn · Mar, Apr, May

Autumn offers warm days and cooler nights, making it one of the nicest times to visit the lagoon. The water stays pleasant and the atmosphere around the foreshore is lively but not crowded. It’s a perfect season to spend a few hours swimming or relaxing by the pool.
