When to visit

The cooler, dry months are ideal for diving, snorkelling, and water sports, offering calm seas and excellent visibility.

Most popular: May - August

Spring · Sep, Oct, Nov

Spring is one of the best times for diving and snorkelling. The water is clear, the weather is warm but not humid, and marine life is active. It’s also a great time for a guided kayak or snorkel tour. The beach drop-offs are especially popular in the calm spring conditions.

Summer · Dec, Jan, Feb

Summer brings warmer water and excellent snorkelling but also heat and the chance of tropical showers. Early morning tours are best to avoid the midday heat. The lush island backdrop after summer rain makes a stunning setting for beach walks or kayak trips.

Autumn · Mar, Apr, May

Autumn brings calm seas and mild temperatures, making it a relaxing season for both certified and first-time divers. The water remains warm, the crowds thin out, and it’s a peaceful time to try a new water activity or explore at your own pace.

Winter · Jun, Jul, Aug

Winter is known for clear skies, calm waters, and the best underwater visibility of the year. The cooler air doesn’t affect the warm sea temperatures, making diving and snorkelling very comfortable. It’s also the quietest season on the island, so you can enjoy the water and beaches without the crowds.
