Sandstone Falls
About Sandstone Falls
Spanning the length of the river, Sandstone Falls is the largest waterfall on the New. Divided by a series of islands, the falls are a pictureqsue backdrop in Hinton. It's the New's final rush into the gorge to its confluence with the Gauley and Kanawha Rivers. Several overlooks, historic markers and trails can be found along the way. Sandstone Falls is an iconic attraction within the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
