Blackwater Falls
About Blackwater Falls
Imagine a 57-foot cascading waterfall whose amber waters are tinted by the tannic acid of fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. Blackwater Falls State Park, home to this very waterfall, is one of the most visited and photographed places in West Virginia. In addition to Blackwater Falls, the park also features the lesser traveled Elakala Falls and beautiful Lindy Point and Pendleton Point overlooks.
