Te Deseo

About Te Deseo

Te Deseo is a Latin American restaurant in Dallas’ Harwood District built around dinner, cocktails and a lively night out. The 14,000-square-foot venue has several distinctive dining rooms, four bars and La Terraza rooftop overlooking the city. Its food and drinks draw inspiration from Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Puerto Rico, while the atmosphere becomes more energetic later in the evening. Friday and Saturday nights bring DJs and late-night rooftop service.

When to visit

Spring brings milder evenings and longer daylight, making it easier to enjoy rooftop drinks, dinner and an evening around Dallas’ Harwood District afterward.

Most popular: March - May

Spring · Mar, Apr, May

Dallas temperatures rise steadily through spring, while evenings remain far less intense than they become in midsummer. That suits Te Deseo particularly well because service begins at 5 p.m. and much of its appeal revolves around dinner, cocktails and the rooftop. Thunderstorms become more frequent as the season progresses, so the indoor dining rooms are useful when weather changes. On clear evenings, La Terraza gives you skyline views alongside happy hour and dinner.

Summer · Jun, Jul, Aug

Dallas summers are hot, with normal highs reaching about 96°F in July and August. Since Te Deseo does not open until 5 p.m., visits naturally fall later in the day when temperatures begin easing. La Terraza stays open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, while the main dining room closes earlier. Indoor dining is useful during hotter evenings, and the rooftop becomes more appealing after sunset when the strongest daytime heat has passed.

Autumn · Sep, Oct, Nov

September can still feel very warm in Dallas, but evenings become noticeably milder through October and November. This is a good period for making more use of Te Deseo’s rooftop before winter cold fronts begin arriving. The restaurant continues dinner service from Wednesday through Sunday, with happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The rooftop becomes livelier on Friday and Saturday nights, when DJs and bottle service begin later in the evening.

Winter · Dec, Jan, Feb

Dallas winters are generally mild, though cold fronts can bring freezing nights, wind and occasional wintry weather. Te Deseo’s multiple indoor dining rooms and bars make colder evenings easy to work around, while the rooftop remains an option when conditions are mild. Dinner service continues Wednesday through Sunday, with later Friday and Saturday hours. Because Dallas temperatures can shift sharply during winter, checking the evening forecast is useful if La Terraza is a main part of your plans.
