Located between Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island, Brookgreen Gardens is a unique destination in the Grand Strand. Founded by award-winning sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington and her husband, philanthropist Archer Huntington, Brookgreen Gardens combines the couple’s love of nature and art and is home to more than 2,000 works by 430 artists. Covering more than 9,000 acres, this historic property has something exciting for everyone in the family to enjoy. Explore the Live Oak Allée, with its 250-year-old live oak trees, or visit the Huntington Sculpture Garden to see some of Anna's breathtaking sculptures. Be sure to pay a visit to Brookgreen's resident alligator, Cowboy, who has resided at the gardens for over 50 years.
