Ono Island is home to some of the most luxurious homes in Alabama, with many of its residents among the "rich and famous". The 5.5-mile gated community at the mouth of Perdido Bay near the Florida border has one bridge on and off the island, so visitors can't actually gain access, but can admire "how the other half live" from a distance. Just a short 10-minute drive east of Orange Beach, jump in the car and take a look for yourself.
