Located in northeastern Puerto Rico, El Yunque Rainforest is the U.S. National Forest System’s only tropical rainforest. Here, you can explore walkways winding through towering treetops, trails leading to the La Mina waterfall, and hikes up to Mount Britton. Being a sacred place in Puerto Rican culture, it’s also home to ancient petroglyphs made by the local indigenous Taino people.
