About Sinharaja Forest Reserve
The Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a popular eco-tourism destination in Sri Lanka, 120km southeast from the capital Colombo. As the last expansive stretch of rainforest in the country, Sinharaja Forest Reserve is home to an array of wildlife including monkeys, leopards, squirrels and mongoose in addition to many threatened species of reptiles, amphibians and butterflies.
