About Tokyo Disneyland

Two Disney theme parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, plus hotels, shops, theatres and more, makes this a great day out for kids and adults alike when visiting Tokyo.

When to visit

The best time to visit Tokyo Disneyland is during weekdays in spring (April - May) or fall (September - October) to avoid crowds and enjoy mild weather.

Most popular: April - May

Spring · Mar, Apr, May

Spring in Tokyo Disneyland is a magical time, with the park adorned in cherry blossoms. This season sees mild temperatures, making it comfortable for long days exploring attractions and enjoying parades. Special events like the "Disney Easter" celebration add unique decorations, themed shows, and exclusive merchandise. The park tends to be crowded during the cherry blossom season, so planning ahead for FastPasses and dining reservations is advisable to make the most of your visit.

Summer · Jun, Jul, Aug

Summer at Tokyo Disneyland is vibrant and lively, with extended park hours allowing for more time to experience everything on offer. The weather is hot and humid, so staying hydrated and taking breaks in shaded areas or air-conditioned attractions is important. The "Disney Natsu Matsuri" brings traditional Japanese summer festival elements into the park, including interactive performances and colorful decorations. Be prepared for larger crowds, especially during school holidays, and consider using the single rider lines to reduce wait times.

Autumn · Sep, Oct, Nov

Autumn brings cooler weather and stunning foliage to Tokyo Disneyland, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. The "Disney Halloween" event is a major highlight, featuring spooky decorations, special parades, and themed food items. The park transforms with an array of Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat opportunities, making it an exciting time for both adults and children. Visiting on weekdays can help avoid the larger weekend crowds, ensuring a more relaxed experience.

Winter · Dec, Jan, Feb

Winter at Tokyo Disneyland offers a festive atmosphere with its "Disney Christmas" celebration. The park is beautifully decorated with lights and holiday-themed displays, creating a warm and cheerful environment despite the colder temperatures. Seasonal parades, special shows, and Christmas-themed merchandise make it a unique experience. The park can be less crowded compared to other seasons, especially in early December and January, providing a great opportunity to enjoy the attractions with shorter wait times.
