Suluban Beach is a small beach in Uluwatu, Bali, known for its limestone caves, narrow cliffside access and strong surf. Reaching the sand means walking down a long set of stairs and through gaps in the rock, which gives the beach a more tucked-away feel than many of Bali’s easier coastal stops. It’s especially popular with surfers, while the caves, cliffs and sunset views make it worth visiting even if you’re staying out of the water.
When to visit
April through August delivers Suluban’s prime surf window and predominantly dry weather, while July and August combine powerful waves with Bali’s strongest international visitor demand.

Getting There
From Ngurah Rai International Airport, drive south toward Pecatu and Uluwatu, then follow Jalan Pantai Suluban to the cliffside entrance. The road distance is around 21-23 km, with the drive taking roughly 25-45 minutes depending on traffic.
