Jun. to Oct. is the strongest overall window for dry weather, easier wildlife viewing, and comfortable sightseeing near Victoria Falls.

Summer, from Dec. to Feb., is the wet season, bringing lush greenery, fuller river scenery, and a richer tropical atmosphere around the park. It is visually beautiful, but rainfall and humidity are higher, making access and long game drives less effortless than in the dry months.

Autumn, from Mar. to May., is a transitional season when the rains ease and the landscape stays fresh, green, and photogenic. Conditions improve steadily through April and May, making this an attractive shoulder period before the core dry-season safari window begins.

Location

Getting There

From central Livingstone, drive south toward the Victoria Falls area, where Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is easily reached by road. The falls section is approached along Mosi-oa-Tunya Road, with the main access coming just before the Zambia-Zimbabwe border.
