Monte Verde Natural Park stands out for the landscape more than anything else. High above Mindelo, it feels greener and cooler than much of São Vicente, with mountain views that stretch across the island and out to the sea. When to visit

November to July is the strongest overall period for hiking, clearer views, and drier conditions, while August to October is warmer and less reliable.
